Our Choice In Actors

Our original ideas were that all the group would be in the film. Me and Jay were going to be the two friends that distracts the older brother. Ashley was going to be someone in the background which might be link to the brothers disapearence. The main two characters were Harry and his brother which would be the older brother Jack (Harry) and the younger brother (Harry's brother).
But becasue we have changed most of the shots and some parts of the script. We now only have two characters in our opening sequence which is Harry and his younger brother. We did this becasue it would make more sense with the story to just include these two characters. We also chose those characters becasue it was convenient. We also chose to have a small amount a characters in the opening sequence because it would be easier to film and their will be a less chance of continuity errors.

Final Planning Stage

We all got together and decided to discuss our opening sequence. We then decided to change some of the ideas we had in the opening sequence. We changed the idea of the distraction. The distraction in our original idea was two of 'Jacks' friend meet him in the park and distract him. But we have now decided that there will be a phone call which will distract the character.
We also changed some of the different types of shots. We added more close ups in the opening because we needed to give it a more thriller like theme. We also decided to change parts of the dialogue. This change in our story will mean that we need to change our script, storyboard and shot list.
We will also re film most of the shots in our opening sequence. After that we went through each scene and planned it all out again.

Third Day Of Filming

On the third day of filming we had to finish the rest of the outside shots. We started where we left off, and check the surrounding areas to make sure there wasn't any continuity errors. We went on this day because it was similar weather to when we last went out. We made sure that both main characters were in the same costumes as before to avoid continuity errors.

We found that we were a bit more rushed with this day in filming because Jay forgot to charge the camera meaning we had limited time to film. So we couldn't play anything back and couldn't check the shots we just did.
In this time we finished most of the shots in the ending of our opening sequence. But we still had a few small shots to finish.

Second Day Of Filming

The Second Day Of Filming 

We did the inside shots of the opening sequence on the second day of filming. We did the inside shots because we were unavailable to get the outside shots because it was raining.
This is location 1 and where the opening sequence will start. So we used the script, storyboard and shot list to help us film this location. We changed some shots because they didn't work as well as we hoped and we ended up changing some of the positions of the shots. It was difficult to get the shots we needed with Harry's brother. So most of the shots we extend so we could edit some parts out.

Our first day of filming started at our second location and that was the park. Which has the main location for our opening sequence. We did the second location first because it is a outside location and the weather was suitable for the type of setting we wanted. The first location was an inside shot so it could be filmed at any time. We only got a few shots done in the time we had because we underestimated how long it takes to film each shot. When we were filming we realised that some of the shots we planned didn't work, So we had to replace those shots with other ones.

We also had to use small stones to direct the characters and where to stop in shot.

Harry had to climb onto the slide roof to create the establishing shot for the park. This was the highest, reachable part in the park for an establishing near the entrance in which the characters will be walking through. 

Ashley then took a photo of what the establishing shot so we could see if the shot worked.
